Local Writers & Artists

Waltham is and has been home to some of the finest writers in America.  From Pulitzer Prizes to PEN awards, the city's writers have contributed fiction, poetry, memoirs, and history that match Waltham's own unique place in the world.

Each week, bookstore owner Alex Green writes a column for the Boston Globe online about books, with a particular focus on the literary heritage of Waltham.  To read the column, click here    boston.com

The links below will guide you through the many excellent writers who have called Waltham home, past and present.  The journey through these pages, and the pages of their books, will illuminate a small bit about the extraordinary heritage of this place.  (Please inquire with us regarding signed editions)
